The Costa Brava, with its crystal-clear waters and stunning landscapes, hides one of its most valuable treasures beneath the surface: the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park. This protected area is a hotspot of marine biodiversity, and among its most charismatic and vulnerable species are seahorses (Hippocampus spp.) and pipefishes (Syngnathus acus). These fascinating creatures, with their elegance and peculiar way of life, are key indicators of the health of our marine ecosystems.

Aware of the importance of protecting these species, l'Estartit has launched an ambitious seahorse conservation project.
